kindred spirits
for all of Conte's contempt for Mourinho, they're kindred spirits.
it started when Conte celebrated wildly in Mourinho's face at Stamford Bridge, but Mourinho did the same against Ferguson at Old Trafford.
both shot to prominence leading mediocre squads to overachieve, one with Porto, one with Italy.
Conte won his first major title at the age of 43, young for managers, while Mourinho did it even earlier at 40.
I hated Mourinho but respected his football; I hate Conte but respect his football.
and despite precedence, Conte is now taking a route hauntingly parallel to Mourinho's. he sacked his star striker for no good reason, and sent his Chelsea from champions to pedestrians.

i like motion pictures
The Post is like a more dramatic version of Spotlight. It's like letting
Spielberg direct Spotlight. Some will appreciate the more mainstream
style, some will find a few moments corny. Impeccably acted and powerful
statement on female empowerment. The opening scene of the editor
standing up to the publisher is enough for your ticket price.

When polar bears hunt, they crouch down by a hole in the ice and wait for a seal to pop up. They keep one paw over their nose so that they blend in, because they've got those black noses. They'd blend in perfectly if not for the nose. So the question is, how do they know their noses are black? From looking at other polar bears? Do they see their reflections in the water and think, "I'd be invisible if not for that." That seems like a lot of thinking for a bear.
